Evaluation of Saleability
- Buying and Selling of
Businesses
Before a sales process is
initiated, it is important to discuss the
saleability of the company.
Companies with the highest
sales value are identified by (selected
points only):
-
Products and services
that differentiate the company from its
competitors.
-
The company has special
competences.
-
Increasing sales and
profits in a growth business.
-
The company is well
“documented”.
-
Well functioning
organization (management group).
-
Low risk (products,
customers and markets).
Even though some of the
above mentioned items cannot be changed in
the short term, there might be areas that
can be optimized, thereby increasing both
the saleability and the price of the
company.
The discussions with the
company owners as to saleability should
therefore end up with a catalogue of
suggestions for improvements and changes.
